About the Company:Our clients core business comprises the manufacturing, distribution and export of advanced-technology air conditioners, heating appliances and associated componentry. Recent growth has created opportunities for a Sheet Metal Worker to join their business.
Location:
Canning Vale, WA.
Roster:
Monday to Friday - (38 hours per week) - Day Shift
Duties:
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Develop patters & jigs as required to improve production techniques and efficiencies.
- Perform hands on production work.
- Advise Quality Control Manager of any irregularities found in raw materials.
- Ensure and maintain stock levels of both raw materials and finished product in line with projected production schedules. Co-ordinate and record section stock transfers where required.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and integrity in all products produced.
- Responsible for the final inspection of items produced.
- Responsible for the safety, cleanliness, organization and presentation of the section so as to project a professional and efficient image.
- Liaise with the Purchasing Manager with regard to the acceptance of raw material.
- Liaise with the Dispatch Manager with regard to the dispatch of finished product.
- Be familiar with raw material Safety Data Sheets for products used in the section.
- Able to quote for custom fabrication.
- Be a qualified sheet metal worker.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Relevant certifications or licenses may be required.
