The High Wycombe branch offers a fleet of 800+ heavy trucks and trailers that are maintained and presented to the highest standards.

Due to increased rental volumes and a rapidly growing fleet, we are seeking someone to join the team.


About the Role

A full time, permanent position for an experienced Accounts Receivables Officer in our head office branch located in High Wycombe, Western Australia working Monday to Friday. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivables Officer to join our team. This full-time role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and excels in both accounts receivables and administrative tasks.

Purpose of the position

You will be reporting directly to Key accounts & Receivables manager and indirectly to the CFO and will provide support to the Rentco head office in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Assist Accounts department in all areas when needed.
The Accounts Receivable Officer will manage the accounts receivable function including customer enquiries, payment processing and reconciliations. Maintaining and building strong customer relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing account applications and setting up debtor accounts.
  • Collecting and allocating payments and reconciling debtor accounts.
  • Processing credit card payments including BPOINT.
  • Dealing with account enquiries.
  • Co-ordinate monthly and fortnightly issue of debtor statements.
  • Monitor and chase unpaid accounts, suspending overdue accounts where necessary and ensuring appropriate reminder letters are issued.
  • Reconcile MYOB invoice amounts with transaction data from the Point of Sale system.
  • Perform data entry, run reports and maintain customer vehicle records in the Point of Sales system and accounting software.
  • Maintain records by filing and/or removing records and reports
  • Back up Accounts department as required
  • Retrieves system reports
  • Assist with month end closing activities
  • Assist with Ad hoc Administration as required

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounting and administrative environment, with emphasis on debt collection and the flexibility to meet strict monthly accounting reporting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and work within a minimum of supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills and proven conflict resolution skills sufficient to handle difficult customers.
  • Proven proficiency in Inspire & Sage, intermediate-level Excel skills (including the use of pivot tables, filters, sorting and VLOOKUP functions) and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to liaise with operational staff
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills, including providing clear, accurate and timely information and advice.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and multi-skilling.
  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Rentco’s values of respect, teamwork integrity, excellence and responsibility.
  • Hold a current WA Driver’s Licence.
  • A demonstrable experience in AR and rental experience will be considered a strong advantage
  • Computer literate – training will be given on our internal software rental system
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team and work unsupervised
  • A "Can do" attitude is essential
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol screening
  • Ability to ensure that safety is always a priority

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Finance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the Truck & Trailer industry.
  • Knowledge of Inspire & Sage (Computer system currently used on site to measure volumes).
