ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Senior Coordinator, the Reclink Sports Coach will be assisting with the preparation and delivery of existing Reclink programs and sessions within the teams' region.
Based in the Southeast Metro Team and working in the Yarra Ranges delivering sports sessions in settings such as primary and secondary school, community centres and member agency locations as required on a casual sessional basis and subject to demand from within regions.
Reclink supports those who are disadvantaged, isolated, impacted by gambling harm, mental health as well as those looking to improve health and wellbeing or impacted by trauma and natural disasters such as COVID-19, Bushfires, flooding, and drought. Reclink programs also support people with a disability and sessions are open to all.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Studying towards a qualification from a recognised TAFE, College or University in Community Services, Sport and Recreation, or similar.
- Completion of a relevant short course such as AFL Level 1 Coaching highly regarded.
- Experience in sport coaching highly regarded.
- A team player.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work respectfully with all cohorts including young people from diverse backgrounds. and
- Commitment to the safety of children and young people. and adults.
You will stand out if you have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by marginalised target groups.
- Experience in delivering Sport and Recreation sessions as a coach, teacher, or instructor.
- Able to work in outdoor weather conditions.

This is a casual role with this position commencing early-April 2025 and finishing on the 30 June 2025.
