Our ACT Government client are hiring for a highly capable Business Analyst to join the organisation. This role is highly data centric, with a necessity to be able to tell the data story, replacing legacy systems and re-designing processes. This is an exciting chance to join a wider Business Analyst team that are working on a range of projects across the organisation.
Role: Business Analyst
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 12 months duration.
Hourly Rate: Between $100 to $110 + Super per hour.
Location: Canberra (2611). 2 days per week onsite is necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure projects are developed in accordance with Whole of Government standards, that priorities are managed, and that the quality of projects are delivered in an efficient and fit for purpose manner.
- Produce a range of business analysis artefacts.
- Support the development and delivery of ongoing enhancements to data reporting and Power BI dashboards.
- Analysing and preparing responses to a range of dashboard and data requests.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, both within the Branch and the broader Directorate, to collaborate effectively to achieve common goals.
- Undertake a variety of consultation and engagement tasks aimed at increasing data literacy within the organisation.

Mandatory Criteria:
Professional and Technical Skills, and Knowledge:
- Experience in supporting the development and building Power BI dashboards to support data reporting and trending analysis.
- Experience in analysing the needs of business and an aptitude to present requirements in an engaging manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in ability to foresee potential challenges and propose solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in well-developed communication skills, including oral and written skills, liaison and negotiation skills, and an ability to establish collaborative relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in researching, finding, and implementing an efficient and often innovative solution to various business problems across an organisation.

Compliance Requirements:
- The ability to obtain/hold a Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory.
