As a Web Content Specialist, you will play a key role in creating, editing, and managing high-quality digital content for OIC's website.
This role requires a creative and analytical professional who has practical experience with contemporary Content Management Systems, including Squiz Matrix. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Google Analytics is highly desirable, helping you optimise content and user experience.
Being able to collaborate with key stakeholders across OIC will be critical to your success in this role, so we are looking for someone who is an experienced collaborator and can identify and understand the needs of others.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on developing a new corporate website aligned with organisational goals and user needs.
- Conduct a content audit to prepare for the website update.
- Write, edit, and proofread web content for clarity, engagement, and SEO optimisation.
- Translate complex information into user-friendly formats, including web pages, blogs, and multimedia content.
- Publish and update digital content using Squiz Matrix CMS.
- Analyse website metrics and user feedback to optimise content and user experience.
- Maintain brand consistency and adhere to style guides and standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to source accurate content.
- Ensure compliance with Queensland Government's Digital Service Standard and WCAG requirements.
About The OIC

Through our regulatory functions under the RTI and IP Acts, we support government agencies in meeting their obligations, mediate privacy complaints, and conduct reviews of decisions to refuse information access.
