About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redland is thrilled to present an opportunity for a highly motivated internal applicant to step up into the Allied Health Team Leader role. This permanent position offers an immediate start, ensuring a seamless transition into this rewarding role.
As the Allied Health Team Leader, you will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with our Leadership team. Together, you will coordinate and empower our dedicated Allied Health professionals to consistently deliver exceptional clinical services and compassionate care to our valued patients.
Salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 (HP5) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Monitoring and maintaining the daily activities and resources, including the efficient staff allocation, work scheduling and other administrative tasks to ensure service performance is maximised within allocated resources.
- Contributing to and assisting in developing and implementing new initiatives that enhance the performance of Allied health Services and to ensure compliance with health fund contractual compliance.
- Ensuring the effective management of staff through performance development, orientation, and motivating and supporting staff to participate in training and development programs, including mandatory training.
- Ensuring effective, accurate and timely communications with staff and clients, communicating with sensitivity and discretion.
- Maintaining a safe working environment complying with Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-discrimination policies.
- Complying with and adhere to Mater Health Services policies, procedures, standards and legislation relevant to the role and work area.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA registration and eligibility for membership with professional association
- Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number
- Experience working in an acute or sub-acute hospital setting
- Demonstrated high level clinical practice and independent clinical judgement in the delivery of Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy with acute or sub-acute patients
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, contribute to decision making and address conflict with profession and multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers and other stakeholders
- Evidence of clinical leadership, mentorship and supervision within a Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy or Allied Health team
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and evaluate quality and service improvement activities that improve clinical services and patient outcomes.
