Description:

RBA is seeking a Release Manager to oversee the direction of the Release Management Practice, while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.

To be successful for the role, you will need to demonstrate your experience in establishing an Enterprise Release Management process and rollout strategy organisation wide.

Key requirements are highlighted below:

Release Management Enhancements :

  • Enhance release capability by formalising system changes and enhancements in a controlled manner.

  • Clearly define roles and responsibilities for each release delivery team.

  • Establish program forward release schedules.

  • Provide guidelines for managing risks and resolving issues impacting release scope, schedule, and quality.

Process Improvement and Coaching :

  • Work proactively and collaboratively with leadership to identify process improvement opportunities.

  • Review each release scope of work against risk controls to ensure appropriate rigor and consistency.

  • Support and coach Release Coordinators, and stakeholders in the release management process and related tools.

  • Lead and co-ordinate the release/implementation planning activities including delivery of Implementation Plans, Readiness checklists, Change Check Point communication requirements and escalation management.

Pipeline Management and Deployment Planning :

  • Forward Planning the implementations and releases

  • Build a pipeline of pending releases with the Bank’s internal stakeholders.

  • Define and agree on release and deployment plans with the program and impacted business units.

  • Develop comprehensive cutover plans detailing tasks, timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks.

  • Work with technical teams and SMEs to understand impacts of site isolation requirements.

Representing and Implementing Release :

  • Represent and successfully implement release management practices for the Bank’s environment.

Experience

  • Proficient in dealing with multiple different vendors and managing release schedules

  • Developed and managed release calendars, schedules and communicated across different teams to coordinate the releases

  • Experience in establishing and building the Release Management practice using ITIL as a baseline

  • Experience with DevOps, JIRA or ServiceNow will be highly desirable
