About The Position
The Strategy Engagement Coordinator is essential in supporting RMIT’s Strategy Execution processes and other PSI portfolio initiatives by efficiently managing communications, materials, and events. This role works closely with RMIT’s Strategy team, the portfolio capability team, and the wider RMIT planning community to ensure smooth engagement and alignment.
The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that strategy execution artifacts, decisions, timelines, and publications are effectively communicated across the RMIT ecosystem, keeping all stakeholders well-informed and engaged. Additionally, the role plays a key part in the continuous improvement framework by identifying gaps and inefficiencies, suggesting improvements, and proposing practical solutions to drive ongoing progress.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build constructive and effective relationships and work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and producing high level communication and engagement artefacts and strategies
• Understanding of project management principles including the ability to coordinate activities, allocate resources, communicate, implement and evaluate
• Previous experience in coordination and organisation of events
• Knowledge management expertise with proficient abilities in the Microsoft suite including Sharepoint, Powerpoint and Teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of the tertiary education sector operations would be an advantage

The Policy, Strategy and Impact (PSI) Portfolio provides focus and momentum for the projects and priorities that were identified in Knowledge with Action: RMIT’s Strategic Plan, developed in 2022.
PSI works to support and advance the implementation of RMIT’s strategic priorities, including Through public policy and government relations, strategy projects, innovative partnerships and capability development.
PSI includes diverse teams such as the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, RMIT Strategy, RMIT Activator, the Ngarara Willim Centre, the Australian APEC Study Centre, Workforce Innovation and Development Institute, Innovation Catalyst and the Health Transformation Lab.
The portfolio works as a network of collaborative and inclusive teams, working to develop and extend an ‘Impact ecosystem’ of relationships and partnerships across and beyond the university PSI teams provide a distinctive set of evidence-driven, innovation, public policy and community engagement expertise.
