About the roleBathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a Waste Collection Officer to join the Waste Management Centre Team.
The Waste Collection Officer's main purpose is to drive and operate a waste collection vehicle, collecting waste from households in Bathurst, consistent with applicable statutes, regulations and council policies. The position will also be required to undertake duties relevant to the role within the Waste Management Centre as directed.
This position will report directly to the Waste Collection Team Leader.
Key Requirements- HR drivers licence
- Demonstrated basic mechanical and maintenance knowledge
- Proven experience in operating tipping trucks
- Proven experience in the operation of lifting equipment
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,044.00 to $1,096.90 per week + adverse working conditions level 2 allowance of $48.94 per week + superannuation
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every third week (must be available to work all public holidays)
