About Us:

Sunset Group has built a strong brand in the construction industry over the past 20+ years, looking after large-scale commercial projects and now we’re on the lookout for an experienced Recruitment Officer to join us. Sunset Group is on the lookout for an energetic and proactive Recruitment Officer to help us build an incredible team. This role would be Full-time based in our Bathurst office. Previous experience in a HR Generalist role or as a Recruitment Officer is essential.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Recruitment Consultant or HR Generalist role
  • Familiarity with job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, and social media recruitment strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills to help secure top talent
  • Highly organised and ability to juggle competing deadlines
  • Strong time management skills to ensure efficiency in the recruitment process
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism
  • Strong ethical approach to handling workplace issues and compliance matters
  • Ability to accurately review resumes, contracts, and compliance documentation
  • Precision in preparing job offers, onboarding paperwork, and HR reports
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and engage with high-quality candidates to meet business needs
  • Use various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
  • Write effective job advertisements on job seeking platforms
  • Screening and interviewing candidates to shortlist to hiring manager
  • Onboarding and maintenance of HR documents
  • Support employees with HR-related queries and workplace concerns
  • Assist in maintaining a positive workplace culture
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation claims and return to work
  • Handle internal complaints and liaise with staff
  • Regular staff evaluations in conjunction with line managers
  • Provide HR guidance on career development and training needs
  • Source and onboard Independent Contractors
