About the role

We’re looking for individuals who are natural organisers who love multi-tasking! The Administrative Support Officer provides quality customer service and administrative support services to the Hill End HS and Mudgee Area teams. This pivotal role provides a wide range of administrative support services to facilitate Hill End HS operations such as financial and records management, routine correspondence, event approvals, and HR administration and reporting. The role also assists with management of Hill End HS visitor facilities including campgrounds and short stay accommodation, liaises with business and residential tenants and supports the site management team to provide accurate and timely visitor and customer information. Located in the historic village of Hill End, you will communicate on site regularly with residents, park visitors and contractors. You’ll also work closely with colleagues in the NPWS Mudgee team to provide support when required. To assist effective management of the historic site and Mudgee Area reserves, you’ll utilise your savvy business systems knowledge (SAP, CM9, Microsoft Word and Excel) and superior organisational and communication skills.


About you

You’ll be able to demonstrate attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and provide support within a busy and diverse work environment. You will have strong financial management skills, customer service and coordination skills and ideally have previous experience in a similar administration role with knowledge of SAP, records management CM9, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Your communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other staff and stakeholders will be an advantage to you in this role.


Key knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.
  • Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration.
