About the role:
The overall purpose of the Senior Officer, Awards and Graduation is to be a specialist in the data management, operational and strategic tasks relevant to Awards and Graduations, provide the relevant support and assistance to the Manager Awards and Graduations in the provision of the services required across the areas of award’s conferral, student graduation and completion documentation, revocation of awards, academic verifications and graduation ceremony support. The incumbent will provide specialist expertise in one or more of these areas, providing technical and strategic support to the team, and work across the unit to ensure the provision of excellent internal and external customer service.
This is a full-time position at HEP 6 classification, with salary range of $88,691 - $96,001 per annum plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week over a continuing contract period.
About You:
We are looking for an individual who has both Higher Education and TAFE experience in the Awards and Graduations aspects of the Student Lifecycle.
To fit this role, you must have strong data analysis capabilities, be a passionate leader, and an individual who enjoys challenging current processes with the mindset of improving our students experiences.
Duties:
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Provide technique support using our Technology One Student Management to process our conferrals.
- Provide a range of high-quality award and graduation process support, including the production of the Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS), Notice of Completions, Academic Transcripts, Statement of Attainment, and Testamur documentation, running reports from Student One when required.
- Issue and enable digital or paper-based official academic documents such as, Statement of Attainment, Academic Transcripts, AHEGS and Testamurs mail and/or arrange collection where required, including to our onshore and offshore partners.
- Process system reports and tasks associated with the data required for the Medallists, Aegrotat award, Posthumous award, student speaker, presentation list, seating list, and Cue cards for the graduation ceremonies.
- Lead a small team on the relevant daily business operational tasks.
