About the Role
An opportunity currently exists for an Occupational therapist experienced in Acute or Subacute Care to join the Occupational therapy team on a casual or, part time basis. Weekend opportunities are available.
The role is to deliver and progress clinical care to patients in line with Contemporary Occupationl Therapy. You will be skilled in Occupationally based, Assessment intervention and discharge planning. You will have highly developed communication skills and enjoy working as part of a well integrated multidisciplinary team.
Your contribution

A sound interest & working knowledge of Aged care and the Rehabilitation experience, and to provide a lead role in the effective deliver of care of the older person

Sound experience in the acute or subacute setting

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to evidence-based practice and translation of evidence to practice

Current nationally coordained criminal history check, or willing to obtain
Classifications for this position will range from VF6 – VF9 ($44.77 - $51.46 per hour, plus casual loading).

The Occupational Therapy Department provides a service across acute, sub-acute and community programs across three hospital sites. We are committed to providing a strong culture that encourages clinicians, in a collaborative process with clients, to integrate current research in clinical decision making to obtain the best outcomes. We work closely with the allied health and community services team to provide a quality allied health service that focuses on person centred practice that promotes Occupational Justice whilst incorporating the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity.
