We are seeking a Senior Policy Officer to lead critical projects that improve water access for Traditional Owners and ensure Victoria's entitlement framework meets the needs of current and future generations.The Senior Policy Officer is part of a dynamic shaping Victoria's water entitlement framework. In this role, you'll lead projects to improve Traditional Owner water access, using creative problem-solving and strong communication skills to influence policy and collaborate with stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Partnering with Traditional Owners to address water access barriers.
* Engaging with government, industry, and stakeholders to develop solutions.
* Applying water resource/entitlement knowledge to identify gaps and improvements to policy and legislation.
* Managing projects and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
* Demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge of Aboriginal Culture and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians today to deliver culturally informed government policies and services is required.
* Sound knowledge of water resource management and Victoria's water entitlements and allocation framework would be preferred
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
