- PoV Grade 5.1, $106,534 - $117,716 + 11.5% superannuation
About the role
Reporting to the Lead Analyst, Public Accounts and Audit, you will assist with the follow up of VAGO audits and own motion (self referenced) inquiries; and fulfilling the Committee's statutory functions in relation to the Victorian Auditor-General's Office (VAGO) and the Parliamentary Budget Office.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in undertaking complex investigations, inquiries or reviews, and drafting clear and comprehensive communications, briefs and reports.
About you
You will be adept at identifying, analysing and synthesising complex issues, and conflicting evidence and data. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be a strength, as is your time management and capacity to be flexible and respond well to change.
You will be tertiary qualified and have the capacity to critically evaluate transparency and accountability mechanisms within the public sector including legislative frameworks. A sound knowledge of Australian auditing practices and standards is desirable but not essential.
The preparation of succinct, high quality written analysis on complex issues in tight timeframes for a non-technical audience will be a strength.
