The Unley Swimming Centre is a leading outdoor swimming facility located in Forestville. Proudly owned and operated by the City of Unley for residents and the wider metropolitan area, the facility consists of an 8-lane heated 50m pool, junior pool, toddlers pool, shaded lawns, café and operates an extended season for 9 months of the year.
The Role
We are seeking casual Pool Attendants who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons whilst in the Centre. You will be responsible for the general cleanliness of the pool surrounds, ensuring supervisory patterns are adhered to according to the ‘Unley Swimming Centre Staff Manual’ and administering first aid as required. Applicants must be prepared to work in an environment with an expectation of high-level customer service satisfaction.
It is essential for the successful applicant to:
- Hold a current Pool Lifeguard Award certification
- Hold a current Apply First Aid certification
- Hold a current Department of Human Services Child Related Employment Screening clearance
- Proven experience within the Aquatics Industry in a relevant role
It is desirable to have:
- The ability to work across multiple areas at the centre
- Hold current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification
- Swimming Pool Plant Operators Certificate
- Experience in pool supervision and the supervision of staff
- Food handling and safety certification
- Hold a current Safe Environments for Children and Young People Through their eyes or equivalent recognized certificate
