Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin. About the Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Coal Handling Prep Plant while working collaboratively to meet production targets. This role oversees CHPP operations, ensures maintenance goals are achieved, and upholds high standards in safety, cost, quality, and environmental compliance. The position follows a Lifestyle Roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address mechanical issues through effective preventative, predictive, and reliability-focused maintenance, while maintaining accurate records for technical reporting.
- Work closely with stakeholders to successfully implement operational plans, from ROM stock management to train loadout, including associated infrastructure and services.
- Promote accountability within the CHPP maintenance team by ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive team culture through collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect.
- Lead by example in managing breakdown repairs, responding proactively to challenges, and seeking opportunities to improve plant and equipment performance.
About You:
- Mechanical trade qualifications.
- Experience in coal processing, mineral processing, or general plant maintenance.
- Proven supervisory experience in a similar role.
- Strong commitment to safety culture, risk awareness, and hazard identification.
