Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin. About the Role:
You will ensure an efficient operation of the Coal Handling Prep Plant, working collaboratively towards achieving production targets. This role will be working a Lifestyle Roster.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise CHPP operations to ensure maintenance targets are met while keeping health, safety, quality, cost, and environmental standards high.
- Identify and address potential electrical and mechanical issues, implementing preventative and predictive maintenance while keeping accurate records for reporting.
- Work closely with stakeholders to successfully carry out operational plans, from ROM stock management to train loadout, including infrastructure and services.
- Promote accountability within the CHPP maintenance team, making sure safety protocols, industry standards, and regulations are followed at all times.
- Build strong working relationships by encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.
- Take the lead in breakdown repairs when needed, showing initiative in improving plant and equipment performance.
About you:
- Electrical Trade qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of coal processing plants, mineral processing plants or general plant maintenance
- Proven experience within a supervisory role
- Commitment to a positive safety culture and risk awareness and identification of hazards
