- Salary commencing at $41.82 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation commensurate with experience.

The Opportunity
The Marketing Advisor provides support to the key marketing campaigns and communications plans. The role ensures that the Moonee Valley community and stakeholders are aware of Council’s programs and services and motivates community participation, particularly with Council's Arts and Culture offering.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Communicate concisely and persuasively with diverse stakeholders using a range of channels, including supporting other team members with marketing activities.
- Collaborating with team members to prepare and design marketing material and activations
- Coordinating advertising schedules and bookings, liaising with a variety of advertising outlets as required.
- Using publishing tools, such as Canva and InDesign to produce collateral.
- Developing design briefs and liaising with graphic designers throughout collateral production.
- Supporting the marketing team with developing and implementing strategic marketing plans.
- Regularly updating and maintaining accurate information to relevant databases.
- Maintaining up-to-date records using Councils record management system, TRIM.
- Provide proactive business partner support to the organisation’s communications requirements and encourage the effective use of communications tools and strategies to engage staff across multiple locations and services.
- The position will also perform other public relations and communications functions as required, including developing communication plans, assisting with live streaming of council meetings and providing on-call services over the weekend and public holidays for media and social media enquiries on a rotational basis or as required.
About You
To succeed in this position, you will have:
- The skills and knowledge needed for this role are beyond those normally acquired through completion of secondary education, or TAFE certificate or associate diploma alone.
- The applicant would require tertiary qualification and experience within the field of marketing, communications, public relations or other relevant discipline.
