About the role

The Senior Manager, People Experience is a key member of the People, Culture & Engagement senior leadership team. This role works collaboratively with senior leaders and the wider People, Culture & Engagement division in leading the design and delivery of strategic solutions that drive the TAC’s employee experience. This is fulfilled through the leadership of the TAC’s key people experience functions to drive change toward an experience where our people are connected to purpose and are enabled and empowered to deliver for our clients. The Senior Manager oversees the functions of:

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Strategic workforce planning
  • Employee Relations
  • Remuneration & Benefits
  • People Analytics, Governance and HRIS
  • TAC’s Youth Traineeship Program

These services are employee centric with a focus to continuously improving employee engagement, development and retention, to build a culture aligned to achieving the TAC’s strategic goals.

About the Team

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, People, Culture & Engagement this role will lead the high performing People Experience branch who are collaborative, supportive and outcomes focused. They are committed and passionate about the work they do and the change they lead for the TAC and employees.

This role operates within a broader division of people that enable and support a high-performing culture through the functions of Culture and Inclusion, Strategic Partnering & Advisory and Learning & Capability.

What we’re looking for

Demonstrated experience in people leadership within a diverse operational People Experience environment including:

  • Experience in progressive Human Resource roles and/or equivalent qualifications in the Human Resource Management field
  • Extensive knowledge and evidence of contemporary human resources practices and strategies
  • Demonstrated strong experience in Employee Relations including Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations and implementation of EA changes

Ability to take a strategic concept through to implementation

  • Proven ability to contribute to strategy development and translate it into plans and priorities
  • Development and implementation of enterprise-wide policies, processes and systems that enhance the employee experience
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement and program changes relating to HR Information Systems and related applications.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Proven capability in effective stakeholder engagement at a senior level with the ability to coach and mentor teams as well as communicate, negotiate and influence change across an organisation
