About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the Role
The Regional Coordinator is responsible for supervising and assessing the day to day case workloads and listing practices and procedures for the regions. In addition to performing Coordinating registrar responsibilities for the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, the Regional Coordinating registrar may as be required to perform a range of functions in other jurisdictions, including Children's Court, County Court and Supreme Court.
The role requires an advanced understanding of the Court's protocols and procedures in addition to well-developed leadership skills to contribute to the effective operations of the Court and supporting and developing staff.
The position operates within a complex, demanding and sensitive environment that requires the capacity to exercise sound judgement, liaise effectively with Judiciary, senior officers of the courts and government departments, and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This role sits within court operations at Shepparton. The court is a multi-jurisdictional facility with regular sittings of the Supreme, County, Magistrates, Childrens' courts as well as VCAT. Shepparton is the headquarters court for the Hume region.
About You
You will be a highly effective communicator with a strong committment to delivering excellent customer service. Your other strengths will include:
- Certificate IV in Government (Court Services) or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Courts & Tribunals (will be highly regarded)
