Meli is seeking Support Workers to provide practical assistance and meaningful engagement, ensuring families can overcome barriers to education, health, and social inclusion.
This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in helping families stay connected to their communities, assisting with transport, appointments, and daily tasks that promote stability and wellbeing.
About the RoleAs a Support Worker , you will:
- Assist families in accessing vital services by providing transport and supervision for children, young people, and parents attending appointments, education, and social activities.
- Work closely with caseworkers and key workers to identify barriers and implement strategies that enhance community connection.
- Provide practical, day-to-day support to ensure stability, consistency, and predictability for families.
- Maintain clear communication with caseworkers, children, and families, offering feedback and insights to support case planning.
- Build collaborative relationships with key services such as schools, healthcare providers, and community organisations to strengthen family support networks.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with families, making a tangible difference in their daily lives, and ensuring that transport, supervision, and access to services are never obstacles to wellbeing.
Position Details- Casual position
- $37.34 - $40.13 p/h (depending on qualifications & experience) + Super + Salary Packaging + Casual Loading

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A qualification (or working towards one) in Social Work, Early Childhood, Psychology, Nursing, Alcohol and Other Drugs, or a related field.
- A genuine ability to connect with and support children, young people, and families with empathy and warmth.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address barriers to service access.
- Experience handling crisis situations with a calm and supportive approach.
- A commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
