Role description
The Grade 2 Podiatrist works as part of our Ambulatory Care program to provide high quality, person-centred assessment and management for people with foot pathologies living in the Dhelkaya Health service catchment.
The Podiatry service is time limited and provides essential and timely rehabilitation, support with self-management of foot pathologies and improved health literacy around understanding ongoing foot health needs. The Grade 2 Podiatrist works in an evidenced informed manner to achieve optimal health outcomes for those presenting with the need for personalised podiatry care.
A key part of the Grade 2 Podiatry role is to support and build capacity for programs to promote foot health and deliver high quality evidence-based podiatry services to outpatients, inpatients, and aged care residents for a range of foot pathologies. This may also include provision of custodial health services. An integral part of this role involves facilitating and participating in workplace professional supervision, supporting new graduates, student placements and delivery of foot health education and training to patients, carers and other health professionals.
About you
* Bachelor of Podiatry or equivalent.
* Current registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Current Drivers Licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
