Informed Solutions (Australia) has strong existing in-market relationships, numerous successful projects and case studies delivered prior to the pandemic, and an existing pipeline of opportunities in Australia. We are looking for an experienced and team-orientated Australian Director who will shape and execute a market development programme; build and manage delivery partner relationships; strengthen the pipeline of high-quality prospects; successfully close business; and thoughtfully build a strong capable team around the Australian company respecting Informed Solution’s culture, business and leadership values, and workplace relationships.

Our Australian Director must have emotional intelligence and influence people through professional accountability, positive personal values, and good behaviours. Our success is based on demonstrating high competence, trustworthy behaviours, and collaborative working relationships and we expect the Australian Director to reflect and champion these principles in growing the Australian business.

Role and Responsibilities:

As Country Lead/ Managing Director Australia, you will be a key member of our global leadership team. Key to the success of this role will be your ability to develop trusted, collaborative and high-performing relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients.

You will work alongside Informed’s Main Board and Technical Board Directors and other senior colleagues to create and shape a standout market proposition for public and private sectors clients. Similarly, we will work collaboratively to shape and build a strategic framework for Australian market development, industry engagement, partner and client relationship management functions.

Specifically you will:

  • Contribute to Informed’s international growth operating model and management processes, working with Informed’s Main and Technical Boards to agree targets and success parameters
  • Develop a trusted and capable partner network that is able to support Informed’s growth ambitions in a sustainable way.
  • Develop trusted relationships with partners, prospects and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead the partner development and business development efforts, including strategically shaping bids and proposals that align with our partners’ and clients’ specific needs, proven solutions, and value-creation propositions.
  • Drive excellence in client engagement: Establish an enhanced client relationship management approach (once prospects are converted) ensuring client programme success, organic growth, and adjacent opportunity identification.
  • Contribute to thought leadership to develop our strengthen and evolve Informed Solution’s market presence.
  • Establish communications and engagement channels, working with industry partners to developgrowth opportunities for Informed Solutions and our partners.

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Trusted and proven business leadership and business development acumen in an enterprise B2B tech setting:
  • Advanced operations and management skills.
  • Expertise in the design and execution of strategic growth plans.
  • Strong sales and account development acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiating skills.
Strategic and lateral thinking with strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills. A passion for building relationships and representing a strong, trusted business across the public and private sectors. Advanced stakeholder management capability: A leadership style that is engaging, trustworthy, and confident, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including ministers and C-suite executives. Strong and effective communications across all media: A communication style that is clear, compelling, and engaging, combined with a relationship development approach that is trustworthy, friendly, and approachable. Strong marketplace understanding: Competent and confident strategic analysis aligned with an ability to present information with impact. Proven experience in partner development, strategic bidding, marketing, and managing new business campaigns.

You will be based in our central Sydney office on Elizabeth Street and must have the flexibility to travel throughout Australia, as well as co-locate with colleagues, partners, clients, and prospects. There will be travel and short secondments to the UK to facilitate integration with the UK Main Board and Technical Boards. Some limited travel to the UK and Malaysia can be expected as the Australian business succeeds and grows, and comes to support Informed Solution’s investment in scaling up the Malaysian business.
