About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Recreation Officer MSU to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional wellbeing of our clients through recreation-based interventions. You will assess clients' needs, develop individualized intervention plans, and deliver therapeutic programs that enhance independence and improve quality of life.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' leisure needs, strengths, and limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic recreation intervention plans.
- Deliver client-centered recreational programs addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs.
- Document client progress, outcomes, and changes in therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with inter-professional teams to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
- Advocate for the therapeutic benefits of recreation within the healthcare setting.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation.
- Facilitate connections between clients and community-based recreational services.

Qualifications
- Preferred Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or currently enrolled with relevant experience.
- Qualifications in related areas considered.
