The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team in a full-time role. Salary, plus superannuation & Company Vehicle. This is a valued position where you will play a key role in managing our financial operations, growth acquisitions, reporting, and compliance requirements. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple business entities, and ensuring accuracy in financial processes. A strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, customers, and financial institutions is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Maintaining Financial Health of Companies: Monitor and assess the financial health of all business entities, implementing strategies to ensure profitability and long-term sustainability.
- Identify & Execute Property Acquisitions: Evaluate potential property acquisitions, including conducting due diligence, and executing transactions that align with the company’s growth strategy.
- Maintaining Client & Supplier Financial Relationships: Build and maintain strong financial relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth transactions and mutual profitability.
- Help Strategize Health & Wellness Growth in Multiple Geographic Locations: Collaborate with leadership to strategize and implement growth initiatives for the health and wellness segment in various regions.
- Monthly Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices across multiple business entities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- BAS Preparation & Lodgement: Prepare and lodge monthly and quarterly BAS statements, ensuring compliance with ATO regulations.
- Vehicle Financing & Loan Management: Coordinate new vehicle financing, liaise with banks, and maintain finance schedules.
- Accounts Payable & Cash Flow Management: Process payments, manage company outgoings, and track financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Maintain financial spreadsheets, manage accounting software, and assist with audits.
- Vehicle Registration & Compliance: Oversee the full scope of vehicle registration processes to ensure compliance.
- Function in All Company Operational Systems: Learn and understand all operational systems to support the team.
- Help Strategize Health & Wellness Growth: Collaborate with leadership to strategize and implement growth initiatives for the health and wellness segment in various regions.

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with colleagues, customers, and financial institutions is key.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
- 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Controller / Accounting role, preferably in mining, fleet management, or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple business entities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
