- Work a 12-hour continuous shift-based roster (night/day), with set rotations over a 28-day roster cycle – (6am to 6pm).
- Lead and develop the health and safety culture for the team.
- Provide leadership and supervision for the team on shift to raise skill capability and work on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage and motivate the team and work with them to problem solve issues
- Provide high level support to operators and play a key role in their learning, development, competency and experience across production KPI’s, process improvement, safety and quality practices and effective teamwork
- Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering or have a mechanical/electrical trade background (advantageous).
- 3-5 years demonstrated leadership experience and proven shift management of small/medium sized teams in Plastics/FMCG/continuous batch manufacturing/heavy industrial operations.
- Mechanical aptitude who enjoys working hands on whilst leading and mentoring a team.
- Ability to set and align balanced operational priorities with the emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, throughput, proactive reporting, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Effective communication across workplace and workforce diversity.
- Excellent time management, sense of urgency, problem solving skills and results focused to meet daily production KPI’s and targets.
- Demonstrated collaborative style and cross functional engagement.
- You have a can-do attitude, are flexible, adaptable and want to jump onboard to help us continue to grow our manufacturing capability.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with own transport and driver’s licence.
