Description:

The Mental Health Emergency Department, Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service are looking for a Team Leader to join their team. Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) is a major health care provider covering the spectrum from prevention and early intervention to tertiary care. Mental health care is provided through inpatient care and community care. Addiction services are provided through community alcohol and drug services. It is acknowledged that many consumers have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and services are integrated and collaborative.

About the Role

  • Leading and managing the delivery of the Mental Health Emergency department care via in reach models and delivery of the Crisis Support Space model in collaboration with external NGO stakeholders ensuring that outcomes are monitored and evaluated and that the service is delivered based on contemporary recovery principles.
  • Develop in partnership with key stakeholder's staff development programs through co-production with patients' staff and peer workers.
  • Ensure that recovery principles underpin every aspect of the design, development and delivery of the program and based on research evidence and contemporary practice.
  • Lead and facilitate therapies and support the planning, coordination, formulation and delivery of evidence-based education and research ensuring sustainable workforce education models are delivered in line with the Therapy Capability Framework within services (including services of a complex nature).
