About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse - Respiratory
Vacancy: Permanent Part-time / 70 Hours per fortnight
Location: Respiratory and Sleep Unit / Medical Service Group / Townsville University Hospital
Provide clinical expertise, support, and education to complex patients in an ambulatory outpatient service. This role requires nurses who are specialised in respiratory care, to ensure the provision of best clinical practice.

- Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications/ professional registration/ other requirements
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- The applicant ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including the Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix and Power Point.
- Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Rural Hospitals Service Group network to participate in meetings for planning, quality, performance, training and education, or clinical activities. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. Travel on small planes or ferry may be required. The successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
