Position: Clinical Nurse - Clinical Research Coordinator
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Part-time up to 20/01/2027 (with the possibility of extension - not exceeding 12 months), 40 hours per fortnight
Location: Research Unit, Townsville University Hospital
What's on offer?
Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $132,289 p.a.
- Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1).
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

About the role
The Clinical Nurse - Clinical Research Coordinator is an advanced clinical based role for a registered nurse/midwife to support the set-up, conduct and management of research within Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This position requires complex, problem-solving skills, expert planning, and coordination skills in the clinical management of patients with complex care needs.
The key objectives of the Clinical Nurse - Clinical Research Coordinator position are to support the establishment and delivery of research projects to gather high quality clinical research data and maintain optimum health care to research participants, in accordance with the National Health Medical and Research Council (NHMRC), Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCP) and the International Committee of Harmonisation (ICH).
Role requirements
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
