About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse - Tumour Stream Care Co-Ordinator
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Full-time commencing ASAP until 30/06/2028 with a possible extension up to 12 months
Location: Ambulatory Oncology Unit / Medical Services Group / Townsville University Hospital
Townsville Cancer Centre (TCC) at the Townsville University Hospital is the tertiary referral unit for Oncology services for North Queensland. Oncology specialities include Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Haematology, and Palliative Care. The Cancer Centre also has a 23 bed Oncology ward with a bone marrow transplant unit and a Chemotherapy Day Unit with an Apheresis Unit.

- Salary range: $4138.10 to $4431.10 per fortnight (Nurse Grade 6(1))
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications/ professional registration/ other requirements
- Mandatory: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is essential for this position.
- Highly Desirable: - Post graduate qualifications relevant to the position would be highly desirable. - Experience and clinical competence in the field of Oncology Nursing is essential. - Experience and clinical competence in the field of Apheresis Nursing is essential.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on-call roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
