Description:
As Deputy Registrar you will have a significant role in liaising with the Registrar, Principal Medical Officer and research staff in the preparation of material for consideration by the Authority, ensuring that the decisions of the Authority are properly documented and reflected in the Legislative Instruments prepared for registration.The key duties of the position include
- Undertake a range of drafting tasks, including preparation of draft Statements of Principles, explanatory statements, statements of reasons, notices of investigation and assist in proof reading documents;
- Prepare meeting agendas, and meeting papers and organise meetings;
- Assist in managing the administrative operations of the RMA Secretariat, including:
- the process of review and registration of the Statements of Principles;
- overseeing the provision of administrative support to the Chairperson and Members of the RMA and liaising with them as necessary; and
- supervising staff responsible for the financial and human resource budgets, travel arrangements, website and electronic records management system
- Assist the Registrar in ensuring the RMA complies with the VEA, MRCA, Legislation Act 2003, Freedom of Information Act 1982, and other relevant legislation;
- Assist the Registrar in the preparation of documents and correspondence on a range of issues as required.
- Represent the RMA at meetings with stakeholders.
