Keolis Downer (KD) is a leading private provider of multimodal public transport in Australia, working collaboratively with State Governments to develop transports solutions that are tailored for all passengers, regardless of their background. In Adelaide, KD partnered with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport in early 2021 with the aim of delivering revitalised passenger train services to the local community and increasing public transport patronage across South Australia.
Following recent business changes, KD will take on the critical role of custodian of the local network over the next decade, with a focus on asset management and maintenance . In the shorter term, KD will continue to focus on the provision of customer experience and security services for the next two years, until 2027.

We are currently seeking a Network Maintenance Control Officer (NMCO) who will act as the primary communications interface between the KDA Control Centre and PTSA Operations Control Centre. The NMCO's role is to manage and coordinate the distribution/allocation of faults on the Network to the correct Maintenance Department.
You will:
- Coordinate and manage all faults, acting as the primary interface between State entities and KDA teams (Signalling, Rollingstock, Track, Civil, Electrification, Network Presentation, Cleaning, Station Staff etc).
- Oversee KDA Control Centre operations to ensure fault management, resolution, and reporting.
- Provide daily updates to the KDA Business team on performance, safety incidents, and engineering work status.
- Handle escalations from PTSA Operations Control Centre, manage fault history, and address information requests.
- Manage Track Work Requests, coordinate track access, and arrange responses to safety incidents.
- Support operations with repairs, manage track closures, and execute KDA’s Crisis and Emergency Plan in coordination with the Planning Team.
About you
- Possess strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Available to work across a 24hr shift work roster.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a multi-skilled environment.
- Strong ability to respond efficiently to high pressure situations.
- Highly effective negotiation skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others in an environment of change.
- Prior understanding of public transport operations and planning principles for public transport services is highly desirable.
- A history of working within the rail environment and understanding of safety and compliance to Rail Safety National Law is highly advantageous.
- Ability to respond quickly and rationally to problems as well as work collaboratively on complex issues.
