The North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office (NSC PDO) was established with the sole purpose of planning and delivering the final section of the North-South Corridor between the River Torrens and Darlington.
This is a multi-billion dollar project that will complete the final and most complex stages of a 78km free-flowing motorway that is vital to both the future economy and the liveability of Adelaide.
The Opportunity
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Officer control cost activities through all phases of the North-South Corridor (NSC) project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting cost management processes to reflect project performance.
- Maintaining the NSC project cost model and verifying contractor claims.
- Driving forecast accuracy, performing cost reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and treasury guidelines.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Contract Administrators to prepare accruals and cash flow analysis.
- Contribute towards the preparation of financial reports for relevant governance committees and stakeholders.
- Promoting a cost-aware culture to proactively address and mitigate cost issues.

About You
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in large-scale multidisciplinary infrastructure projects (preferred).
- Proficiency in cost management systems.
- High-level analytical skills to assess complex information and provide expert advice.
- Strong report writing, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- The ability to set priorities, manage competing deadlines, and work independently or in a team.
Success in this role requires collaboration, conflict resolution, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications/Licenses
A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or a related field is required.
Accreditation with a relevant accounting body such as the CPA or CA will be viewed favourably.
A current driver's licence is essential.
Special Conditions
A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
