About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who possesses a solid foundation in accounting principles and a thorough understanding of accounts payable processes. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating your ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Your strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities will help you navigate any challenges that may arise in the Accounts Payable function.

You will come with extensive knowledge and experience in accounts payable and experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV or COUPA would be an advantage but not essential. You will have experience with high volume processing.

Additional key qualifications and attributes include:

  • High level of numeracy, reconciliation skills, and the ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a broader team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and manage workload priorities to meet deadlines.
  • A friendly disposition, coupled with diplomacy and tact when handling sensitive situations.

We are looking for a candidate with a team mindset, enthusiasm, initiative, excellent communications and customer service skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to details.

About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our invoicing process with a strong data entry focus. You will play a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with our creditors and vendors, facilitating timely payments, and supporting the overall financial management of the company.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Checking and processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Inputting, coding, and matching invoices to the correct cost centre and departments.
  • Conducting reconciliations, including supplier statement reconciliations and allocated General Ledger accounts.
  • Identifying and resolving errors and communicating improvements to workflow processes.
  • Responding to queries and providing customer service liaison for creditors.

This is a 6-month contract working part time Monday-Thursday. Hours can be flexible to accommodate school hours.
