About the role;
Provide crucial support to women and children escaping family violence. As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering crisis response, intensive case management, and holistic support to help victim survivors transition to safe and stable accommodation.
What we offer;

  • Generous Compensation: Earn between $97000 to $102,000 per year, plus salary packaging and superannuation.
  • Relocation Assistance: $3-5k. Vehicle can be provided throughout initial stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with victim survivors that encourage self-determination and participation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans using approved tools.
  • Provide crisis intervention and intensive case management for victim survivors in the refuge.
  • Develop and implement individual case plans addressing the needs and goals of clients.
  • Assist victim survivors in accessing support services, advocacy, and community connections.
  • Work collaboratively with Specialist FV Practitioners from other teams to provide wraparound support.
  • Identify service gaps and contribute recommendations for improving service delivery.

Essential:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work.
  • Experience in family violence services and/or child wellbeing work (desirable).
  • Strong case management and crisis response skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, adapt to challenges, and uphold integrity and respect.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity.
