About the role:


ATCO Gas Australia is seeking a dynamic and skilled Supervisor – Quality Assurance to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and quality of our gas distribution network by leading inspections and assessments for contractors.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Monitor and manage the performance of the QA team in conducting inspections and competency assessments of contractors and internal staff working on the installation of mains and services on the Gas Distribution Network.
  • Undertake inspections and investigations on industrial, commercial, and domestic installations in line with regulatory obligations and gas installation standards.
  • Monitor works to ensure compliance with safe work instructions & Australian Standards
  • Work closely with contractors, providing mentoring and expert advice on design, construction fault finding, and problem-solving to ensure work meets operational standards, safety requirements and regulations.
  • Report on team performance, analyze inspection data to identify trends, and assist the QA Manager in monitoring quality performance across relevant business areas
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to new and existing team members
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify and report on areas of improvement
  • Work with contractors to assist in building their QA capabilities, providing expert knowledge, advice and lessons learnt


About you:


To be considered for this role, you require the following skills & qualifications:



  • Certificate III in Gas Operations and/or G Class certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of gas industry regulations and standards
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and problem-solve.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office (SAP experience is desirable).
  • Experience in team leadership is desirable.
  • C Class Drivers Licence.
