Role Overview:

Tank Vision is seeking an experienced Quality Control Coordinator to ensure that all raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products meet established quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining product integrity, preventing defects, and ensuring that production processes adhere to strict quality control guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products, including outsourced laser-cut components and fabricated parts.

• Performing dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests to verify compliance with specifications and standards.

• Documenting all inspection results, including photographic evidence.

• Monitoring production processes to identify potential quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

• Ensing. uring adherence to industry standards, including AS2304, AS1675, AS4100, and other relevant regulations.

• Collaborating with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues.

• Verifying the accuracy of welded components, including dimensional accuracy and surface cleanliness.

• Maintaining accurate and detailed quality control records, including inspection reports and corrective action logs.

• Training production staff on quality control procedures and fostering a quality-driven culture.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Technical Competencies:

• Certificate or Diploma in Quality Control, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (e.g., Certificate IV in Quality Auditing, Diploma of Engineering – Technical) with 3- to 5 years of local experience.

• Proficiency in conducting thorough inspections using measurement tools, visual checks, and functional testing for Welding and Sheet metal manufacturing and processes.

• Ability to develop QA processes, checklists, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 9001, S2304, AS1675, AS4100, AS 1554.6

• Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis ( FMEA), and implement corrective actions.

• Skilled in technical documentation and reporting, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping, particularly in material traceability & consumables management and manufacturing ITPs,

• Knowledge of welding procedure qualifications such as WPS, PQR and WPQ

• Experience with supplier quality management, including addressing and resolving quality issues with external vendors.

Soft Skills Competencies:

• High attention to detail and accuracy in inspections and documentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address defects and implement preventive measures.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage with both internal teams and suppliers effectively.

• Confidence in decision-making, including halting production or rejecting shipments when quality standards are not met.

• Ability to train and guide production staff on best practices for quality control.

• Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

• Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset to stay up to date with industry best practices.
