The role of the YACCA Coordinator - Senior Case Manager is to provide effective case management and supervision of young people (encouraging engagement and compliance with court orders, problem solving and pro-social modelling); interagency referral and liaison to enable participants to access relevant services to address their health and/or substance use and offending behaviour; and reporting to the court on progress both in writing and verbally in court.

The position is physically based at the Adelaide Youth Court and will be expected to regularly travel to regional courts for the purpose of Youth Court YACCA proceedings.

The role may also involve supervision of AHP1 level staff and students.

This is a temporary contracted position until 26 December 2025.

Special Conditions:

  • Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993 . Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act 2009 .
  • Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.As a justice agency, the CAA my receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.

  • This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry. WWCC’s can be obtained through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit

Requirements:

AHP2 - must have an appropriate degree in or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers, or registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

PO2 - must hold an appropriate tertiary degree level qualification in human services, social sciences, sociology, criminology, health,community services, or a related field.

Remuneration:

AHP2 - ($88,255 - $102,240)

PO2 - ($88,255 - $97,667)
