At voco Gosford, we’ll cater to both business and leisure guests, as well as provide a swanky new destination for locals to meet.
The Assistant Front Office Manager will work closely with our Executive Assistant Manager in managing all aspects of our Front Office including; guest reservations, guest experience, concierge services, telephone services and business centre whilst ensuring a seamless and unforgettable guest experience.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team during the pre-opening phase of a new hotel, that will look to be the changing face of the Central Coast.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
• Lead the check in, check out experience with the Front Office team.
• Creating the perfect working environment for your team to thrive and driving collaboration between departments
• Ensure your front office team delivers a great service, professional attention and personal recognition
• Providing guests with all the information they need to enjoy a truly memorable experience
• Overseeing night audit function, preparing daily financial reports and delivering accurate forecasts
• Conducting routine inspections of the front office and public areas – taking immediate actions to correct any deficiencies
• Manage day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve team member performance
• Educate and train team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
• Ensure your team are properly trained on systems, security, service and quality standards
• Assist to develop plans to increase occupancy and ADR through walk-ins and upselling at the front desk
What we need from you
• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration or Business Administration
• 2-3 years of guest service/hotel experience with a minimum 1 year in a management capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Must speak local language (s)
• Other languages preferred
