About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team of a continually growing medium sized business.
We are looking for a people leader to sell more specified products, to more customers, at a higher price within specified markets and segments. The candidate will be process and commercially orientated, have a passion for fine food and an appreciation for a grass roots family business.
The role will be based at our Scoresby head office with frequent travel between sites within Melbourne and elsewhere as required. You will be required to work on occasional Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
• Formulate and implement the marketing & sales business plan/ strategy in consultation with the Managing Director.
• Lead, set goals, hold to account and performance manage the marketing, B2B and B2C teams.
• Uphold the company brand and values.
• Define markets, segments, marketing mix (products, price, place, promotion).
• Sell products through wholesale, retail, online, social media, reps, other as defined.
• Manage risk including OH&S, food safety, commercial and legal.
• Provide coaching, challenge and hold leadership to account to improve their understanding of the marketing & sales implications of decision making.
• Deliver routine marketing & sales reporting and analysis (e.g. sales by category, consumer behaviour, existing products, new products, sales leads, global and local demand trends).
• Drive marketing & sales improvement to ensure standardisation and simplicity.
Required experience:
Required work experience:
• Held senior leadership roles in a medium sized company or middle leadership roles in a large sized company.
• At least 10 years in sales.
• Fast moving consumer goods – food.
• Successful commercial relationships with major customers in our industry.
• CRM/ ERP systems.
• Company transformation.
• Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate studies in commerce/ marketing / related field.
• Post graduate studies in marketing or business discipline.
