About the role
We’re seeking a Training and Development Lead who will be responsible for the development, delivery and review of effective training to our staff in our Traffic Control rooms and ensuring governance standards are maintained.

Day-to-day, you will:

Identify training needs and requirements and design training to ensure all regulatory and operational training is established, delivered and maintained.

Develop learning solutions that incorporate options for blended and flexible delivery to ensure all training requirements are delivered and met.

Ability to plan, coordinate and implement a cross functional training program.

Review existing training material and operations procedures to identify opportunities for training and make changes.

Evaluate and review training resources to ensure training data is captured accurately, recorded and maintained in appropriate systems.

Creating and updating training content by working closely with key internal stakeholders by using their knowledge and skills.

Stay up to date with Traffic Control Room Operators responsibility to ensure skills currency and systems knowledge is maintained.

Facilitate and deliver training programs.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

Demonstrated work experience in creating and delivering training programs in a workplace setting.

Experience and knowledge in developing and delivering training in a range of different formats. Such as physical classroom style, online modules, on the job etc. Experience with e-learning platforms is highly desirable.

Relevant qualifications in training and development. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable

Safety focused and understands the need for consistency in training and work practices.

Experience and knowledge in scheduling training for shift workers.

Strong interpersonal skills. You’ll have the ability to build rapport and can alter your communication style to engage with a variety of people.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Exposure to change management and leadership will also be highly regarded.
