Location: We operate across several locations, Parramatta, Gosford, Maitland and Wollongong. In-office presence is required three days a week, with some flexible working arrangements.
This role sits within the Taxes and Grants Division in the Disaster Relief Grant team
About the team
The Disaster Relief team is part of the Taxes & Grants division within Revenue NSW. We play a crucial role in assisting the NSW Reconstruction Authority with processing Disaster Relief Grants (DRG). These grants provide financial support to individuals and families who are most in need particularly low-income earners, helping them restore their homes to a safe and habitable condition after a natural disaster. DRG assistance is available to eligible applicants whose damages are not covered by insurance, alleviating personal hardship and distress caused by disasters across NSW.
About the role
- We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service. In this role, you will:
- Assess eligibility for disaster relief grants in line with program guidelines and work instructions
- Investigate applications ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria
- Communicate effectively with applicants to provide clear information and support.
- Work in a fast-paced call centre environment, responding to inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Manage workloads efficiently, prioritising tasks in a high-volume setting to support those in need.
