DescriptionWe currently have an opportunity for a Test and Evaluation Engineer, specialising in the Maritime domain . Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Develop and execute test programs for combat systems.
- Represent the project at Interim Progress Reviews and Major Design Reviews.
- Provide technical expertise in reviewing plans, test documents, and engineering specifications.
- Support the Verification & Validation (V&V) Lead to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Assist with Test & Evaluation (T&E) preparation activities and transition to execution phases.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years' experience in Defence, maritime, or combat systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of EIA-632 systems engineering processes.
- Experience working with naval combat systems and associated integration challenges.
- Hold and maintain an minimum NV1 as required by the Commonwealth
