About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst and Advisor to join our Finance Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the Finance Team and Senior Accountant through financial analysis, management reporting, and providing strategic financial insights. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial transaction processing, ensuring data integrity, contract reporting, audit coordination, budget support, and financial risk assessment. Additionally, the role contributes to financial governance, compliance, and process improvements, ensuring effective decision-making and resource allocation.

You will be Responsible for:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide insights through variance analysis, forecasting, and budgetary support.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure compliance.
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports.
- Transaction Management : Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct financial analysis and internal audits to identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Reconciliation : Manage key reconciliations and financial records for audit readiness.
- Autonomy & Decision-Making: Operate with a high degree of autonomy in managing financial transactions, providing analysis, and advising on financial governance.
- Experience in financial transaction processing
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of accounting standards and principles
- Intermediate proficiency in financial statement preparation
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- Eligibility or working towards membership of CPA Australia, CA, ANZ or IPA is desirable.
