About the role:Reporting to the IT Manager, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for transforming our extensive data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making across the organisation. This role involves analysing complex datasets, developing user-friendly reporting dashboards using tools such as Tableau, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, to identify areas for improvement and monitor performance against key performance indicators. The successful person must also bridge the gap between data and strategic business decisions, ensuring that our data-driven initiatives align with organisational goals.This is a full-time position is available for an immediate start. Responsibilities Collect, clean, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and areas for operational improvement. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights to stakeholders. Translate complex data findings into understandable reports for non-technical audiences. Assist departments in interpreting data to inform strategy and decision-making processes. Identify inefficiencies and integrity issues in current data collection and reporting processes; recommend and implement enhancements to optimise data utilisation. Develop and document standard operating procedures for data management and reporting. Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Collaborate with various departments to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Lead and participate in projects aimed at improving data analytics capabilities and business processes. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and align project goals with strategic objectives. Assist in solution design and implementation of data-driven projects. Coordinate tasks and manage project timelines to ensure timely completion. Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks. Familiar with Agile methodology. Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, clearly articulating data insights and recommendations. Maintain accurate records of data analyses, methodologies, and reporting processes. Create and maintain user guides, process maps, and other documentation.Ensure clarity and consistency in documentation to support employee training and standard operating procedures. Update documentation as needed to reflect changes in processes and workflows.Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science majoring in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business analyst role, with a focus on data analysis and reporting. Proven experience in designing and implementing Tableau dashboards to support various stakeholders. Familiar with cloud based architectures and relational database structures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Solid understanding of data management principles and best practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data insights effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Visualisation Tools – Lucidchart or Visio. Data Analysis & Reporting Tools Proficiency in Tableau; experience with other data visualisation tools is a plus such as Power BI or Google Analytics. Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Trello, Monday.com, Asana or other agile frameworks. Modelling tools such as Figma for UI/UX design. SQL skills for exporting and querying data.
