The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic team of traffic engineers working on a strong pipeline of varied and exiting work throughout Australia.

  • Managing small to large-scale projects, including proposals, tender submissions, technical documentation, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Leading teams to deliver traffic/ transport assessment projects including Traffic Impact Assessments for development applications and reviewing work of junior team members
  • Overseeing teams to deliver concept designs for traffic/ transport related projects, scope and review work completed by designers/ drafters and assist junior team members .
  • Cultivating and sustaining relationships with our valued clients
  • Play an important role in shaping our traffic engineering capability and business to deliver on our 2030 strategy

What you bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Transport Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience (excluding internships)
  • Proven project management skills and experience with SIDRA Intersection software
  • Strong understanding of AS2890.1, AS1742.3, relevant Austroads Guides, and local Council planning codes
  • Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively within a team.

We are also interested in candidates who may bring any of the following (desirable not essential):

  • Post graduate qualification in traffic/ transport
  • Current Road Safety Auditor accreditation
  • Experience with transport components of renewable energy projects
  • Transport planning experience
  • Operational traffic modelling experience (i.e. AIMSUN, VISSIM)
  • Public transport design
  • Intersection signal design.
