The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic team of traffic engineers working on a strong pipeline of varied and exiting work throughout Australia.
- Managing small to large-scale projects, including proposals, tender submissions, technical documentation, scheduling, and budget management.
- Leading teams to deliver traffic/ transport assessment projects including Traffic Impact Assessments for development applications and reviewing work of junior team members
- Overseeing teams to deliver concept designs for traffic/ transport related projects, scope and review work completed by designers/ drafters and assist junior team members .
- Cultivating and sustaining relationships with our valued clients
- Play an important role in shaping our traffic engineering capability and business to deliver on our 2030 strategy
What you bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil or Transport Engineering
- 5+ years of experience (excluding internships)
- Proven project management skills and experience with SIDRA Intersection software
- Strong understanding of AS2890.1, AS1742.3, relevant Austroads Guides, and local Council planning codes
- Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior engineers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively within a team.
We are also interested in candidates who may bring any of the following (desirable not essential):
- Post graduate qualification in traffic/ transport
- Current Road Safety Auditor accreditation
- Experience with transport components of renewable energy projects
- Transport planning experience
- Operational traffic modelling experience (i.e. AIMSUN, VISSIM)
- Public transport design
- Intersection signal design.
