Position: Customer Service All-Rounder
Location: Dandenong South, VIC

About Us:
Fergys Food is a successful family-owned business that has been growing exponentially for over 25 years of experience in the baking industry with in excess of 100 employees. We supply quality baked goods to the hospitality and retail sectors six days a week and distribute our products nationwide. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join us in an exciting, varied role.

The Role:
This is a full-time, multifaceted position that offers you the chance to grow and learn across several key areas of our business. As an all-rounder, you will primarily be responsible for customer service duties: ensuring that our clients receive excellent service over the phone and via email, entering orders into our production system, and handling general queries. In addition to this, there is a small component of accounts receivable, alongside the opportunity to learn and provide leave coverage in the areas of purchasing and bulk logistics coordination.

This role is ideal for someone looking for variety and the opportunity to develop professionally. Full training will be provided, and there are plenty of opportunities for career progression within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service over the phone and via email.
  • Accurately enter orders into our production system.
  • Handle general customer queries, problem solve, and offer support across various areas of the business.
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions.
  • Gain experience and provide leave coverage in purchasing and bulk logistics coordination.
  • Support all sectors of the business with an emphasis on teamwork and cooperation.

What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking an individual with a passion for people, excellent attention to detail, and a positive attitude. You should be highly organised and motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Have a friendly, professional phone manner and a calm, approachable personality.
  • Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Have previous experience in a phone-based customer service role.
  • Be highly fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Show an inquisitive and proactive mindset.
  • Seek guidance when conflicting priorities arise.
  • Be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate and problem share with the team when necessary.

Additional Experience That Would Be Advantageous:

  • Experience in warehousing and dispatch processes.
  • Exposure to purchasing functions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $47,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
