We’re looking for a dedicated Team Leader – The Orange Door (Barwon) to lead and support a multidisciplinary team, ensuring best-practice service delivery for those in need.
About the RoleAs the Team Leader, Specialist Men’s Family Violence , you will:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of family violence and child & family practitioners, ensuring integrated, client-centered service delivery.
- Oversee intake, assessment, risk management, and service planning to support individuals and families experiencing family violence.
- Ensure effective case management practices, regularly reviewing client progress and working to improve service outcomes.
- Support staff in working with perpetrators of family violence, ensuring strong service responses and risk minimisation strategies.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring services are culturally safe, responsive, and aligned with sector reforms.
This role is pivotal inleading a team that provides life-changing support, ensuring that individuals and families receive the help they need in a timely and effective manner.

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (or be working towards this, in line with Royal Commission recommendations).
- Strong experience in the family violence sector, with expertise in intake and assessment services.
- Strong leadership experience, including staff supervision, mentoring, and team management in a complex service environment.
- A deep understanding of family violence, sector reforms, risk assessment frameworks (MARAM & BICPM), and relevant legislation.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across organisations.
