About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Officer to join our Supply Chain team at our Richmond Head Office. In this key role, you will coordinate and manage export shipments to multiple international markets, ensuring seamless logistics operations. You’ll work closely with freight forwarders, internal teams, and customers to ensure all processes and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare, coordinate, and oversee export shipments, including creating shipping instructions and labels, while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and export laws.
  • Accurately enter, process, and maintain export orders in ERP and shipping systems to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and other logistics partners to facilitate smooth shipping operations.
  • Prepare and manage export documentation packs (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory availability and accurate shipment schedules.
  • Communicate with customers regarding their orders, shipping status, and fulfillment, promptly resolving any issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise export processes and drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in exports and shipping, particularly from Australia to international ports. Almonds (nuts) or agriculture experience advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge of export regulations, documentation, and international shipping practices.
  • Experience with export permits and customs clearance processes.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and international payment terms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook. Experience with ERP (JDE) and shipping systems (Impexdocs) advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally across all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Effective planning, time management, and prioritisation skills to manage multiple shipments and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach, delivering high levels of service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative to solve problems independently
  • Experience in agriculture, nuts & grains, or food exports is advantageous

Proficiency in Mandarin in a plus
